Do you feel like you are always seeking more of something? Maybe it’s more time for self-care or maybe it’s more willpower for your diet, or more confidence and less anxiety…

Why is it that we never feel we have achieved enough? Why do we feel like everything will be better when “this” happens or “that” happens?

We can be present and fully experience our lives as they happen. See the joy in the good moments and the amazing moments. See the lessons in the difficult moments. Recognize the people who are there for you, supporting you in your life through the good and bad. See the successes as they happen, no matter how large or small. I see a success as taking the time the give my son the extra hugs he needs in the morning even when I’m running behind schedule. Or stopping to listen to my husband tell me something about his day when I have a huge to-do list waiting for me. Or following through on a need to meditate when my mind is on overdrive.

In the bulletin at my church last week, one of the pastors wrote about college and how kids enter college being told it will be the best time of their lives. When they start college they often find they are lonely, overwhelmed and confused because it doesn’t always feel like the best time of their lives. What they don’t realize then is that every time of their lives can be the best time. Enjoying the now, even when it’s challenging. Seeing the positive in a difficult experience, while this may be hard to do, is possible. “All things are possible for one who believes.” Mark 9:23

The most important thing to do is to love ourselves as we are. The good and the bad. Same with our life experiences, enjoy them and see that many times of our lives will be a time of growth and learning. We may not realize the lesson until many years later, but as we look back on our past, we will be able to see more clearly what it was that we were meant to learn.

For me, I am beginning to believe that I am good enough. Right now. The choices I make, and have made, are my own. I can be loved and I deserve love. I can be compassionate, authentic and true to who I am. Following my heart. I’ve had my fair share of lessons in my lifetime and it wasn’t until recently that the purpose behind many of them became clear. The lessons from my past helped me to be a stronger person, a better mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend. I believe everything happens when it should, in due time.

For you, it is my hope that you will see the joy in every moment. Whatever happens in your life, follow your heart and love deeply. Realize that every time of your life can be the best time of your life and that you will be able to persevere through any challenges that you are faced with in your lifetime.

My dear friend. Everytime you write something it just gets better and better. I watch Joyce Meyer’s a lot. Last week her sermons were on being thankful for everything, good and bad. For everything that happens to us we should be thankful, for it is a way for us to be better servants of the Lord. I am so thankful that you are in my life and we are friends.Keep up the great work!!
